Pow-wow Lessons - This is a closed program for those who have registered to take classes o Program for parents to bring their children and supervise them while they learn various styles of Pow-wow dancing and teachings that go along with them. Outfit making will be ongoing throughout the year as well.
Bond with Baby - Strengthen your bond with baby (0-6 years) through interactive play. Learn positive parenting skills that will increase secure attachment for your child.
Best Beginnings - Information on Self-care, Nutrition and other areas of Pre-natal care for expecting mothers.
C.A.N.S. Community Accessing Nutritious Staples - Providing staple food products at cost. A list of products is available at Parent Link for your choice. Please return list and cash by order day.
Sharing Circle & Crafts with Anne - Support for parents or individuals. Crafts and other activities may be incorporated in this event. Childcare and snacks are provided. Please register.
Post-Partum Depression Workshop - Learn about Post-partum depression, this is a 2 hour workshop, childcare is limited but provided, please register early.
Métis Dancing - Learn how to jig and square dance, all ages are welcome!
Good Food Box - Perishable grocery items at cost. Three size boxes costing $10.00, $15.00 or $20.00 each. Don't miss the deadline!!
Medicine Wheel Parent Meeting - This is a closed event for the parents of children that attend the Medicine Wheel Early Learning Centre.
Crafts with Sarah - Come and sit with Sarah and learn different cultural crafts to take home.
Grocery Bingo - Come out for a rousing game of B I N G O with all prizes being grocery items.
Aboriginal Home Ownership Workshop - This is a free workshop for first time home buyers. Information on buying a home, grants available and other related information. Child-care and transportation are not provided. There will be refreshments and lunch available. This is a closed workshop for individuals who have registered.
Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Workshop - Learn more about FASD. Childcare and refreshments are available for this workshop. Please call to register if child-care is needed.
Collective Kitchen - Interested in getting together with friends and cooking nutritious meals to take home to your family? We provide the kitchen, the ingredients and you provide the time and cooking skills.
ASP (Aboriginal Students Program) Tutoring - ASP (Aboriginal Students Program) is a program under Métis Calgary Family Service offered to support youth in completing their education. There is free tutoring offered by volunteers every Wednesday of the month. The first Wednesdays tutoring is held at 352 Sunvale Drive SE, the last 2 Wednesdays tutoring is held at19 Erinwoods Drive SE, call for more information.
Native Network Family Resource Centre Gathering - Monthly gathering of community members for a healthy, abundant meal, provided by Native Network Family Resource Centre.
Healing After Loss Workshop - This workshop discusses grief and loss. Interesting workshop to attend for everyone. Childcare and refreshments are available, please register.
Savings & Money Management Workshop - This is a beneficial workshop on what programs Momentum has to offer regarding Money Management and a variety of saving circles (for education, home-buying, etc.). Please register early.
Family Outing at placidity Zoo - Join us for a day of fun at the Calgary Zoo. There is no cost to attend, we'll bring the lunch and snacks. All you have to do is meet us there and register!
Halloween Jelly Bean Dance - Lots of fun for kids ages 7-12 yrs. Games, prizes, refreshments and music provided. Please wear Halloween costumes!!! Happy
